Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website lukahn.com.

Commitment

I’m committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. The site is designed and maintained against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

Conformance status

The site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance, with many Level AAA success criteria also met. This status is based on automated and manual checks, including the IBM Equal Access Accessibility Checker and third-party WCAG audits.

Measures taken

  • Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a skip-to-content link.
  • Keyboard-operable menu, search, and theme controls, with visible focus indicators. The navigation menu traps focus so it can’t escape behind the page.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 (7:1 across most content), plus a light/dark theme option that respects the operating system preference on first visit.
  • Descriptive link text, unique link names, and alternative text for images.
  • Resizable text and a layout that reflows on small screens.
  • Accessible names on all icon-only controls.
  • A glossary of technical terms and abbreviations.

Known limitations

  • Some posts contain code samples. These are provided as text and should be readable by assistive technology.
  • Windows High Contrast mode and 200% text zoom have not been fully verified yet.
  • Content on linked third-party sites is outside the scope of this statement.
